Winners of Anugerah Hijau 2011

winner30th October 2011, Kuala Lumpur -- The 2011 Anugerah Hijau competition came to an end last weekend with a weekend of judging and award ceremony at University Malaya.

After 8 months, the 4th Anugerah Hijau wrapped up in a grand finale showcasing the finalists' short videos on an environmental message (Totally Active category) and sustainable fashion design (Wildly creative category).

Both the judging and award ceremony was held in conjunction with the 4th Kuala Lumpur Eco Film Festival.

All the finalists checked in at the Rumah University campus hotel on Friday evening. Upon their arrival, they were greeted by EcoKnights outreach officer, Aaina Karina who then briefed all the finalists on the weekend's activities of judging and award ceremony.

The following day, all the finalists attended a workshop by Yuber conducted by its principal Patrick Wee. The workshop was aimed at empowering the finalists through a series of fun and interactive activities. All the finalists had a great time knowing each other and understanding their strengths and their potentials. The finalists were really lucky to have had the chance to be part of the Yuber workshop.

After lunch, the finalists had a quick mentoring session with Silas Liew, MIFA 2010 winner, and also a brief rehearsal at the Dewan Tunku Canselor. This session was to assist the Wildly Creative finalists to touch up their designs and also to ensure that the professional models fit their designs. The models and choreography of the eco fashion show was meticulously planned by Daren Lee from Move Productions with make up and hair by Sophia Ang from Mode Make Up Academy.
