Anugerah Hijau

Anugerah Hijau^TM is all about empowering youths today to take a bolder and closer approach towards environmental protection through a fun and interactive competition.

• Since Anugerah Hijau’s inception in 2008, this programme has grown in magnitude and size – thanks to those nature-loving people at EcoKnights who have helped fund and run this non-profit programme for Malaysian youths.
• With a specific theme every year, Anugerah Hijau hopes to evolve to be a fun, interactive and inspiring programme for youths to participate and share their creative green projects with the world.
• This year's competition will be super duper exciting. There are two categories involved (Totally Active and Wildly Creative).
• For Totally Active, it involves making a video (e.g., music video, animation, short film, etc) on the environment. It could be about your school's recycling campaign, a river which you and your friends are trying to protect or a song about the environment. Turn these stories to a video.We want to hear and watch it!
• For Wildly Creative, it involves designing sustainable fashion ware (e.g.,a gown made from recycled plastics, handbag made from recycled carpet materials, etc) where 70% of the materials used for the design has to be from recycled everyday materials (aluminium cans, plastic, toy parts, etc). Could be a school uniform made from old ones, with a creative twist, or a national traditional costume made entirely from colorful plastics. Turn these materials in to the fashion designs of the future. We are on the look out for a green fashion designer.
• Sign up now and your school/college/university is eligible for a FREE eco talk by EcoKnights. Shortlisted proposals and participants will be given ONE FREE ECO TALK by EcoKnights. Shorlisted candidates/finalists get to choose one of the three talk topics on offer:

  • Energy Efficienct in School and Home
  • Forests for Water, Water for Life
