The Anugerah Hijau (Green Awards) competition is a youth-based competition to find the next green champion in three competitive categories:
The challenge is for young Malaysians to think OUTSIDE the box and use creativity to design and/or produce inspiring messages on the environment through film, fashion and design
This competition is opened to all youths between the ages of 14 and 29. Participants can enter the competition either as an individual or a group (maximum three (3) in a group).
The competition begins in March and submissions of all green ideas or proposals to the Anugerah Hijau online participation form must reach EcoKnights by Friday, MAY 18TH 2012.
Your proposal could be about a short video in the form of a public service announcement of saving a tiger for instance, or perhaps a sustainable fashion wear where the colors are of tiger stripes. It could also be a building with a tropical rainforest theme and uses recycled materials.
The TOP TEN finalists for each category will be announced on 26th May 2012 and all finalists are required to attend a workshop during the second weekend of June 2012 (venue to be announced) before starting on their project.
A judging and award ceremony will be held where all finalists will get a chance to showcase their creative works in front of a panel of expert judges and the public.
This is definitely a competition for those with sustainability and creativity running through their veins! Good Luck Malaysia!
