How do you participate?

Very easy.

  • Select the category in which you are keen to participate. There are THREE (3) categories in which you can participate in and they are GREEN FILM/VIDEO, GREEN BUILDING DESIGN and GREEN FASHION DESIGN. You can read the category guidelines by clicking on the links.
  • Fill in the details of the participating group (not more than 3 individuals)/individual here and include a brief proposal (1-2 pages) telling us about what you will be submitting in your category. You can also submit a storyboard (for GREEN FILM/VIDEO category), or a fashion sketch (for GREEN FASHION DESIGN category), or a architecture/building design (for GREEN BUILDING DESIGN) in JPEG, or PDF.

  • The ten (10) short listed proposals from each category will be selected by a panel of jury and the finalists will be notified via email and phone.
  • All selected finalists MUST attend a compulsory workshop prior to starting their short video, fashion design or green building design.
  • Shortlisted proposals and finalists will be given ONE FREE ECO TALK (for your school/college) by EcoKnights. Shorlisted finalists get to choose one of the talk topics on offer:
    • Water, Water Precious Water
    • Energy Efficiency in School and Home
    • Forests for Water, Water for Life
    • Wildlife Conservation
    • Saving the Planet from School and Home
  • The short listed finalists are required to attend a workshop in their respective category before they begin their green competition. The workshop is designed to focus on your submission and improve on your proposals. Workshop is FULLY FUNDED by EcoKnights, including workshop fees, food and beverages, accommodation and transportation. Note: Failure to attend the workshop would disqualify the team/individual from the competition.

  1. First, you would need to Read and Agree to the Competition Guidelines here.
  2. Then participate by filling in the Submission Form here.
  3. The CLOSING DATE for all submission of proposals is FRIDAY, MAY 18th 2012. Only shorlisted ideas/proposals will be selected and the finalists will be notified (via email, phone and letter).
  4. Workshop (for both categories) is scheduled to commence during the June 2012 school holidays.
  5. Judging and award ceremony will be held in October 2012 (exact date will be announced soon).
